Potato gratin recipe: Preparing the Potato gratin is simple! First, wash and peel the potatoes, then cut into small strips.
Grease a square shaped pan with butter/margarine and add the finely chopped or crushed onions in the bottom, then level evenly. The next layer is the potatoes, slightly leaning over each other.
Sprinkle with some salt and nutmeg, then another layer of potatoes.
When the layering is complete, prepare the dressing. Combine milk with cream, broth and sprinkle with pepper, salt and nutmeg. Stir thorough and add to the potatoes.
Finally, add butter/margarine slices on top, so we get an even more tender texture after baking! Bake for 60 minutes at 360 degrees F.
