Gather all your ingredients.
Cut the onion, carrot, and tomatoes into small pieces. Heat oil in a saucepan and cook the vegetables for a few minutes. Add the minced meat and cook it until the meat is browned.
Add the tomato sauce and the garlic. Cook it until it bubbles.
Mix the ricotta with cheese, basil, and parsley.
Cook the pasta al dente.
In a glass baking dish layer the pasta, the ragu and the ricotta mixture. Repeat in the same order. Finish with the ragu on top.
Sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 25 mins.
