Have all your ingredients ready and let’s begin! First, melt lard, add chopped onions and garlic. Stir a few times (not for long).
Season with paprika powder, stir again, same with caraway and finally, add potatoes.
Stir for one minute, then add ½ gallon of water.
Cook for 5 minutes with lid on.
Add cut cabbage, salt and pepper to taste.
Cook for half an hour with lid on.
When the vegetables get tender, add the cut frankfurters.
Cook for another 5 minutes.
Combine flour with sour cream, stir thorough. Add a ladle of soup to the mix and stir again. Add to the soup and cook for another 2 minutes.
