Start by making the filling. Mix the cottage cheese with powdered sugar, vanilla sugar and egg yolks. Stir in the sultanas as well and make sure that everything is mixed together well.
Move onto the dough. Mix together the flour, sugar, salt and vanilla sugar. Then add the egg, melted butter and activated yeast to it. Combine everything.
Create a ball of dough, cover it and place it in a warm place, allowing it to rise.
After it has risen, roll out the dough. Use a round cookie cutter or glass to cut out the donuts. Place them on a tray.
In the middle of every second donut, place a dollop of the cottage cheese filling. Cover the edges of all of the doughnuts with eggwhite wash. Then attach the plain donuts to the ones with filling by pressing together their edges. Let them rise for another 40 minutes like this.
Fry them in hot oil.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on the donuts and you’re ready to serve them!
