Gather all the ingredients.

Lay the buns in a deep roasting tray. Make a cut on the top of the hot dog buns along all sides and firmly press the middle down.

Melt the butter, add garlic, oregano, and basil. Brush the buns with the mixture generously.

Bake it in the oven at 180°C (356°F) for 5 mins.

Once the buns are golden, place the cheese slices on top in the middle of the buns pressing it down slightly.

Next, fill the buns with the Bolognese sauce.

Add the frankfurters.

Add some more sauce on top and cover with an other slice of cheese.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356 °F) for 20 mins. To make it extra cheesy sprinkle with grated cheese in the last 5 mins.
