First, mix the breadcrumbs with the minced meat, then add the spices, garlic and ketchup.

Clean the onions and cut them in half.

Use your hands to make the meatballs. Be careful to fit them inside the onion layers.

Wrap the meatballs in bacon until they are completely covered. Bake it in the oven at 200 °C (390 °F) for 40 minutes.

Tip: If you’re going to bake them on a rack, watch out for the dripping grease.

Serve with ketchup or sour cream.
