Separate the egg whites and yolks, whip the whites until stiff.
Beat the yolks with sugar.
Add flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt to the beaten yolks.
Carefully add whipped egg whites.
Spread the mixture in a buttered and floured cake pan, bake for 20 minutes on 360 degrees F.
Combine mascarpone with powdered sugar, lemon juice and grated lemon skin.
Add whipped cream.
Cut the sponge cake in half and fill with half the cream.
Cover the cake with the rest of the cream.
Decorate the cake.
