Have all your ingredients ready and let’s begin! First, separate the egg whites from the yolks. Combine the yolks with diced, soft butter, vanilla sugar, powdered sugar. Use a hand blender to combine everything well.
Combine the whites with sugar, whisk until thick.
Carefully fold the egg whites into the cream.
Combine the flour with baking powder, slowly add it to the mixture.
Spread half the mixture in a pan lined with parchment, drop cherries on top the zest of a lemon.
Spread the other half evenly, drop rest of the cherries on top.
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F, bake for 35-40 minutes.
When the top is nice and golden, cover the top with parchment paper and bake for another 10 minutes.
Let it cool down and it’s ready to serve.
