Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Whip the whites until they are stiff.
Beat the egg yolks together with sugar.
Add in the flour and two tablespoons of the whipped egg whites.
Carefully fold in the rest of the whipped egg whites.
Pour the batter in a buttered and floured, 6 inches wide baking pan. Bake for about 15-20 minutes at 350°F.
For the cream, mix together the mascarpone, sugar and vanilla flavor.
Then mix in the whipped cream.
Cut the sponge cake into three pieces. Spread the cream on the first layer.
Dip the ladyfingers in coffee, place it on top of the cream.
Spread the cream and add a layer of sponge cake.
Do the same with the next layer.
Place the third layer on the top of the cake and cover the whole cake with cream.
Place ladyfingers on the sides of the cake.
Dust the top with cocoa powder.
