Southern Red Velvet Cake recipe: Preparing the Southern Red Velvet Cake is easy! First, mix flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, baking powder in a large bowl.
Combine oil and sugar in a different bowl.
Then add premade buttermilk, vanilla flavoring, red food coloring and eggs to the sugar mixture, mix well with a whisk.
Then mix in the flour mixture.
Spread the batter in a buttered and floured cake pan, then bake in the preheated oven at 320 degrees F over an hour. When ready, remove from the cake pan and let it cool down completely.
When cooled down, cut the dough in half and fill with whipped cream, then spread the rest on top.
Grease the cake’s sides with foam and decorate with a piping bag.
