Start off by making the dough, whisk together the eggs and the powdered sugar. Carefully add 2 tbsp of hot water to the mixture as well.
Mix together the flour with the baking powder and sift it into the egg mixture.
Add the ground walnuts to the mixture as well, and stir well.
Line a baking tray with baking paper. Spread the dough batter on it, forming a square shape. Bake for 20 minutes at 355°F. Then let it cool completely and remove the baking paper.
For the cream, combine all of its ingredients in a bowl with a hand mixer.
Cut the cake in half and spread apricot jam onto one of the halves.
Then place the other cake sheet on top and spread the cream on top of it.
Sprinkle the top of the cake with shredded chestnut puree. Place it in the freezer for 1-2 hours, as it will be easier to cut and serve if it rests in the freezer.
After it has rested, you can cut it up, pour melted dark chocolate over it and serve!
