Cream puffs recipe: Preparing the Cream puffs is simple! First, combine the margarine, water, sugar and salt in a pot on low heat and bring to a boil.
Add flour and cook until it starts separating from the side. Stir continuously.
Remove it from heat and add in eggs one by one.
(Tip: The amount of eggs is decided by its size and the flour’s quality. It is supposed to be like dumplings.)
Transfer the mixture into a star tipped piping bag. Pipe out the puffs onto a buttered pan.
Start baking in two intervals. First, bake at 390 degrees F for 15 minutes, then at 360 degrees for 10 minutes.
(Tip: It is important not to open the oven door during the first interval.)
Beat the egg whites with sugar in a different bowl until stiff peaks are formed.
Cook the custard and fold in the egg whites, while the custard is still warm. Your cream is done!
Spread the cream on the bottom half of the puffs.
Spread some whipped cream on top of the custard cream.
Place the top halves of the puffs on top of the cream.
Serve with or without powdered sugar.
