The Eszterhazy Cake is an amazing cake made with hazelnuts and butter. It’s a traditional Hungarian cake you should try if you have some try!
Eszterhazy Cake recipe: Preparing the Eszterhazy Cake is simple! First, beat egg whites with sugar.
Add strudel flour and ground walnuts.
Bake five layers (6 inch sized round pieces). Bake each layer for 10-15 minutes at 430 degrees F.
Beat the yolk with sugar for the cream.
Put the milk on heat with vanilla sugar.
Stir continuously and add the yolk mixture.
Thicken with custard powder. Cool it down while continuously stirring.
Cream the butter/margarine with powdered sugar.
Add ground walnuts and rum flavoring.
Add the cream.
Add gelatin fix.
Fill the cake.
Smear the side with cream and sprinkle with ground walnuts.
Smear the top with melted white chocolate, then score it with dark chocolate. Decorate it with a wooden skewer.
Let the chocolate harden, then decorate the cake.
