Start with the dough. Mix together the flour, the powdered sugar and the yeast.

Mix in the egg yolks, the butter and the white wine.

You should receive a smooth and non-sticky dough. Cover it with cling wrap and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Move onto the poppy seed filling. Mix together the ground poppy seeds, raisins, ground biscuits and the lemon zest.

Make a syrup by melting together the sugar, honey, vanilla sugar and water. Pour it into the poppy seed filling and mix well. Cover it and put it aside.

Next comes the walnut filling. Mix together the ground walnuts, raisins, ground biscuits, lemon zest and orange zest. Cook a new portion of syrup the exact same way and mix it into the walnut filling. Cover it and put it aside.

For the apple filling, mix together the grated apples, ground walnuts, ground biscuits, raisins and the cinnamon. Cover it and put it aside.

Divide the dough into 5 equal balls. Roll out 3 of these, so each fits in your baking tin. Then bake them one by one for a few minutes at 340°F.

Roll out the leftover two balls of dough to the same size. Place one of the sheets of dough on the bottom of your baking tin and spread the poppy seed filling over it.

Place a baked layer of dough on top of it. Spread the walnut filling evenly on top of it.

Put another baked layer of dough on top of it and spread plum jam over it.

Now, place the last baked layer of dough on top. Spread the apple filling evenly across it.

Finally, lay the second sheet of unbaked dough on the very top. Punch through the top layer with a fork, creating a few holes. Then coat the top in a wash of egg yolk. Bake for 50 minutes at 340°F.

Allow the Flódni to cool completely, before cutting it up into slices all ready to serve!
