Start with the crust of the cake. Mix together the flour with the powdered sugar, the lemon zest and the butter. Work with your hands to form a ball of dough.
Roll out the crust and place it into your cake form, which should already be buttered. Use your fingers and hands to press down the dough evenly. The height of the crust should be about 4cm. Bake for 30 minutes at 355°F.
For the lemon filling, mix together the eggs and the sugar until it’s light and fluffy.
Add in the flour, baking powder, lemon juice and lemon zest, mix everything well.
Pour the filling into the baked crust. Bake for 20 minutes at 355°F.
Whip up the egg whites until they form stiff peaks and add the powdered sugar to it.
Spoon it out onto the top of the lemon filling. With a fork, you can draw patterns into the egg whites. Bake for 5-10 minutes at 355°F.
After letting it rest a little you can cut it up into slices and serve!
