Whip up the egg whites until they form stiff peaks. Add the sugar to it as well.
Mix in the egg yolks and the flour little by little.
Divide the sponge batter onto two trays which are 29 x 30 cm. Bake them for 10 minutes at 390°F.
After they have been baked slice one of the sponges up into three parts, each should be 29 x 10 cm. Cut the other into two parts, one 29 x 10 cm, the other 13 x 29 cm. Put these aside.
Start making the cream. Mix together the eggs, sugar and cornstarch over low heat, allowing it to become fluffy and creamy. Then let it cool.
Meanwhile combine the butter and the cocoa powder, before adding it to the cream.
Spread the cream on the cake layers which are 29 x 10 cm large. Put them into the fridge and allow them to cool and set.
Next, place them on each other in a cross before cutting through it. Place the top layer on it to receive a triangle.
Spread the remaining cream all over the cake before putting it back into the fridge to set.
Pour the melted dark chocolate over it before serving!
