RECIPE

Ingredients

1 lb pork leg
2 lb sauerkraut
5 oz smoked pork chop
5 oz streaky bacon
2 onions
2-3 garlic cloves
2 tbsp paprika powder
1 tbsp ground cumin
1-2 tsp salt, pepper

Steps

Step 1
Have all your ingredients ready and let’s begin! First, toast bacon until it starts to render.
Step 2
Braise onions in the fat until tender.
Step 3
Add meat and caraway, toast for a few minutes.
Step 4
Add paprika powder, salt, pepper, bay leaves, pork chop and garlic cloves.
Step 5
Add sauerkraut and water until it covers everything.
Step 6
Cover with lid and heat on medium heat for 1.5-2 hours.
