First to make the bechamel sauce melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in the flour and cook the mixture for about 2 mins stirring constantly. Add the milk slowly, stirring well to avoid lumps. Add the herbs while the sauce is cooking.
Put the sauce aside in a bowl.
Spread the bread slices with the sauce then prepare a lightly greased springform pan for cakes.
Lay 2 slices of bread at the bottom, then layer the slices as shown to make sure the slices overlap.
Add the sliced ham-make sure to fully cover the bread slices.
Then add the mozzarella slices.
Beat the eggs, season to taste and pour it over the slices.
Sprinkle with grated cheese. Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and add those, too.
Preheat the oven to 392 °F (200 °C) and bake it for 25 minutes.
Once baked, leave it to cool for 15 mins, remove the cake form and serve.
